Our last hike of this semester, the Brontë Waterfall Hike!
Join us for a scenic hike to Brontë Waterfall, one of the most atmospheric spots in the Haworth moorlands and a favourite retreat of the Brontë sisters. This route offers is a mix of gentle climbs, wide-open views, and a final approach along a beautiful stone bridge leading to the waterfall itself. It’s an ideal outing if you’re looking for fresh air, great photo opportunities, and a relaxed way to explore Yorkshire’s literary landscape. This will be a moderate hike so remember to bring comfortable footwear, water, and a sense of adventure!
We'll get the bus from Bradford at City Park A - Bus Stop at 9:15
We will take the bus to Cross Roads and arrive at approximately 10:20.
There will be Toilets in Haworth, however we have a mile walk to get to them. Please be aware, the toilets will cost 30p.
Food will be available to buy in Haworth however come prepared! Bring a bottle of water and some snacks just in case. WE DO NOT PROVIDE FOOD!
The hike is approximately 13.8 km (8.6 miles) with around 409m (1342 ft) of climb. This is a MODERATE difficulty hike.
There is minimal to no shelter on the hills and it is well into December.
Remember to bring suitable clothing (layers and waterproofs) and walking boots, furthermore be prepared for icy conditions.
Expect to return to Bradford between 5 and 6 pm.
