Higher Shelf Stones, Peak District

This weeks hike will take place just outside of Glossop to Higher Shelf Stones in the Peak District. We will heading through Manor Park and briefly pass through the village of Old Glossop. From there we will walk through the valley before our steep ascent to Shelf Moor. Walking along the moors to the crash site of the B-29, named 'Over-exposed'. We will visit the sumit trig-point of Higher Shelf Stones and descend through an adjacent Valley, back to Glossop.

There will be 30 mins to change trains in Manchester. Please pay attention to instructions on the day.

There will be Food, Drink and Toilets in Glossop. We have limited time so please be quick. There will be no toilets until the hike finishes.
The hike is 16.7km (10.4 miles) long and 572m (1877 ft) climb. This is a HARD Difficulty hike. There is not much shelter so make sure to bring your lunch and adequit layers including waterproofs. If you need Hiking boots, please contact us and we will see what we can do.
Expect to return to Bradford between 7-9 pm.
