Hike up Otley Chevin and wander through the woods.
Our first hike of this semester, Otley Chevin!
Join us for a scenic hike to Otley Chevin! We will walk to the town of Otley and then climb up the steep Otley Chevin. Visit the rock formations at the top and wander through the vast Otley Chevin Woods. It will be a great hike to start the year, with stunning views!
We'll get the Train from Bradford Forster Square at 9:20.
We will take the Train to Menston and arrive at approximately 10:00.
There will be Toilets in Otley, however we have a mile walk to get to them.
Food will be available to buy in Otley however come prepared! Bring a bottle of water and some snacks just in case. WE DO NOT PROVIDE FOOD!
The hike is approximately 14.3 km (8.9 miles) with around 210 m (689 ft) of climb. This is a EASY difficulty hike. The climb will be done in a single and steep section, be prepared.
Remember to bring suitable clothing (layers and waterproofs) and walking boots, furthermore be prepared for icy conditions, it is January.
Expect to return to Bradford between 4pm and 5 pm.
Tickets are required for all our hikes. To get Transport Included tickets, our Membership is required.
