Hike up the highest peak in Wales, Snowdon! One of the 3 Peaks

We will Start at Pen-y-pass and ascend up the mountain via the Pyg route. The route is steep and very rocky, be careful as you climb. The closer you get to the summit, the steeper it gets! The summit will hopefully have spectarcular views! We will descend down the Llamberis route, following the mountain railway. The coach will pick us up in Llamberis town.

This is our biggest hike of the year!

INVITE CONDITIONS - READ CAREFULLY!!!

  1. You have attend a previous hike with the Hiking Society
  2. You have filled out the Health and Safety form (only needed once)
  3. Once the coach arrives, we will leave immediately
  4. The Coach may take up to 3.5 hours, each way
  5. We are time limited, breaks will be minimised throught the day
  6. A good hiking pace is required, you must be fit enough
  7. Walking or Hiking Boots are mandatory, you may potential need to buy some if we have none spare
  8. No food or water can be bought during the hike, you must bring your own

If the Hiking Society believes any of these conditions may not be met:

A message sent via text or email, asking for your clarification
OR
A refund is sent for your ticket

If these conditions are not met during the hike, it could be shortened OR cancelled.

Hike Details:

Date: Saturday 18th April
Meet: Richmond Reception - 07:00 (Coach departs 07:15)
Arrive: Pen-y-pass - 10:30

Food: There are no opportunities to get food. Please bring your own food and water
Toilets: Available at the begining and end of the hike.
Expected Finish: Around 9 pm.

Please Bring:

Plenty of water
Food/snacks for the full day
Warm layers and waterproofs
Sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots

Weather conditions on the mountain can be windy, muddy, rocky and wet, so please come prepared.

The temperature at the summit could be 10°C colder!

If you need hiking boots, the Society has a few spare pairs available, please contact us beforehand.
